Spaceload.ai opens at a particular moment: the first data-center-class GPU has been in orbit for under a year, a data-center payload has touched the Moon, ordinary phones text through satellites, and the largest infrastructure companies have published research programs aimed at AI compute constellations. Each of those threads has its own jargon; none of them has an umbrella. This site's wager is that the umbrella word is spaceloading — and that a field this young deserves one careful, neutral reference while it grows.

What to watch next: follow-on orbital compute missions and whether their thermal and radiation numbers hold up; the widening of optical downlinks past the 200 Gbps class; launch pricing as heavier vehicles come online; and the first commercial contract that describes itself, in plain language, as putting a customer's workload in space. When those move, this page will say so.
